"I didn't know you liked fat-ass bitches. Maybe mine is a
little skinny for you. Maybe that's why you're never here
anymore."

"Listen to yourself talk. That's why I'm not here anymore."

"How do you expect me to talk when you're sleeping with some fat-
ass slut."

"Whoever I decide to sleep with, that's my own business."

"And what am I supposed to do? Just sit here, and wait till
you decide to make love to me?"

"Hell, you can do whatever you want to do."

"I think you don't give a damn what I do. If I decide to go
home, that won't make a damn to you."

"If you wanta go home, go; there's nobody stopping
you."

"I'll call my mother and have her send me the ticket."

"If you want to go, that won't be necessary. I'll pickup
the ticket now from the travel desk."

"Yeah, why don't you do that."

"O.K., it's done."

Jay half slammed the door walking out, and it was too much.
Julie had to let her tears out. A few tears soon became sobs.
She had thought she would reach Jay somewhere; but now it was too
late, and she knew it. She had always known that it wasn't going
to last -- it was all just a fairy tale. Nothing was real -- not
Jay or the way they had been living. Life just wasn't like that.
