city. That would give the fraud squad too much assistance in
tracking him down, and he wouldn't like giving them any chance of
finding him. He had no desire to be discovered.

When they arrived in Louisville, Jay felt like he would die
if he didn't get some sleep. After they checked into the local
Ramada Inn, Jay went to sleep across the bed while Julie ran his
bath. She got his clothes mostly off then managed to wake him to
get in the tub; as soon as he slipped into the water he was
asleep again. Julie started bathing him, and she wondered what
it was that always pushed Jay so hard to make him push himself so
hard. She got him awake and into bed.

The first thing Jay thought when he woke up was that all the
corporate cards must end here and lead to nowhere. So that meant
they would have to do a lot of shopping if they were going to burn
the cards and keep his cash. "Why don't you order us some breakfast
and then we will go shopping?"

"What're we gonna buy?"

"First the breakfast then the shopping. I want to buy a new
watch for myself, so we can look around. Do you like watches?"

"Yes, but the only watch I've ever had was Mickey Mouse."

"I hope you kept it. Those things are worth a small fortune
now. Here I want to see what the jeweler on this small sumptuous
corner of this metropolis has to offer."

"We're looking for watches," announced Jay, "something for
our own wedding presents."
