he's been turning over a lot of rocks back in Denver and has come
up with the fact that there's an open investigation into your
activities back there and that there is a strong connection
between you and McCarty over a hundred-thousand-dollar fraud.
Master Charge is going up the wall. It seems that they're strung
out for seventy thousand dollars on our card. Commercial Credit
Corporation is calling about the loan on your servers. On top of
that, Western Financial has been calling, threatening to pick-up
office furniture on a fifty-thousand-dollar outstanding account.
Schroud has called wanting to know what the hell is going on. Seems
they have all been calling him too. Do you think he could have done
this?"
"Hell no, man, only one person knew this much about my
business, and she caught a flight last night."
"How can they do all of this at once?"
"I've had it happen before. All you need is one creditor to
get scared, and they alarm all of the rest. Suddenly you become
Mr. Instability."
"Yeah, but if you call them."
"Call them for what? Some of them I was already negoiating with.
So it just happens to be the day the world is going after my
throat." Jay then asked Tom to get Diane.
"Diane, if anyone comes in, or calls to see me, I'm out of
town until late tomorrow."
