them that he poured from a prophytex that contained a half ounce
of coke. Jay took a large roll of hundred dollar bills from his
trousers which he had slipped on in the bedroom. He began to
roll one very meticulously into a tiny tube. Then bending over
the table, he snorted one of the lines and handed the bill to
Julie, who did just as Jay had done, and passed the bill to Tom.

"Hey, Tom, my friends are in town tonight. I'm
going to catch the show if Julie wants to go."

"Sure, I love party nights."

"I'll introduce you to Keith. He's the guy I was telling
you about, and we would find it nice if you joined us. There
will be a party afterwards, and we'll get our heads together."

"Sure, man, that sounds great. I wanted to meet that guy
ever since you told me you were friends.

A call to Keith's hotel assured that there would be back-
stage passes waiting. The concert was a great success, and the
party was even more fun.

"Keith, this is my newest recruit, Julie."

"Nice to meet you, darling. Do you sing?"

"Only for Jay,"

"I see you have her well trained." Keith laughed.

"No, man, she is working for my company."

"Have you recorded any new material?"

"Not now. But I'm preparing some new material, for an
album."

"Hey, I wish you all the luck you deserve it."
