more important things"." I have used my time very constructively;

the phone. Jay called the office, again, reaching Tom. "Hey one
little thing I forgot, any snow falling?"

"Sure, man, where do I bring it?"

"I'm at the Hilton. Ask for my suite at the desk; that will
give me time to be ready for you."

"O.K., I'll see you in an hour or so, as soon as I finish
here."

"What is falling snow?"

"That's just jargon for the phone for coke. You do like
coke, don't you."

"Sure, but I've only had it a few times."

"That's fine; we always have the best from Columbia." Then
Jay broke and started to do a verse from J.J. Cales "Cocaine."

"Are you a singer."

"Well, I've been a singer longer than I have been anything
else. I play the drums and write raunchy songs that I sing
everywhere including in the shower."

"You didn't sing last night."

"You had me too occupied to even think to sing, but I did
love your music."

As Tom entered the suite Julie, wrapped only in the shower
robe of the Hotel, felt a little embarrassed but Jay acted very
casual. "Hey, Tom grab a chair; I'll get you a blade so you can
do what you do the best." Tom chopped out a line for each of
