"Look this is my territory, and this is the way I'm running
it. If you don't like it, get out of the area."
"Is that what you called this lunch for?"
"Yes, to let you guys know that I want a little respect from
you in the future. You may have started this company, but
now we are running it.."
"Sure, you got our money; now we're supposed to treat you
with respect as you fill your belly with our bread." Jay tossed
his napkin to the table as he rose.
"This lunch is getting us nowhere. I tell you what. You
can have the whole territory as far as I'm concerned. I'm pulling
out."
"I don't believe that, Jay. You just made twenty-eight
hundred dollars this weekend; you can't just walk away from that.
Your expenses are less than mine."
"Sure, I don't have the appetite to keep up. You are making my
lunch taste bad."
When Jay and Tom returned to the office the first thing
Diane said was that she had just had a call from Master Charge.
"O.K., what do they want?"
"Just said they will call back."
Jay could sense that Diane was gloating over something,
probably thinking there was a scam on the credit card. Jay had
enough for one day; he thought of going home, but that was even
worse. Diane broke into his thoughts. "Oh, by the way. Sandy
called; she wanted to know if I had her ticket for her flight.
Shall I arrange a ticket for her?"
