He knew that was true in fact, but in essence he could
remember Friday night, and fondling Julie on the first evening he
had the chance. He also now knew why he pretended to be tired on
Saturday night.
"Well, you're being very silly; you know this isn't neces-
sary at all."
"It may not be necessary, but it is what I'm going to do."
Now Jay knew he could talk her into staying, but he thought
he would not. For he was already thinking about his new life
with Julie. "So what are your plans?"
"I thought I would visit my mother for a while."
"Well, you've been wanting to go to North Carolina for a
long time."
"This isn't how I had planned to go."
"Well it's your decision."
"Or did you make it for me?"
"I'm going to be in my office by ten o'clock," Jay looked at
Sandy from the door. "I'll have your flight ticket when I return
in the afternoon."
