"Yeah, man, she's pretty clever."

"Hell, yes, she is."

As soon as Jay hung up, he was in Julie's room kissing her."

"O.K., you gonna go all the way, baby. Do you know how much
money you made today?"

"No, I don't think so."

"Well, you made two hundred and sixty dollars, very good for
your first day."

"That's more than I've made in a week before."

"Sure, and you're just starting.

They began to kiss and caress each other. Julie knew she
had reached him in a special way, and that meant more than all
the talk of money. Yes, she had succeeded just the way she had
always planned. The big Man was now giving himself, and she knew
it.

In the cocktail lounge that evening. Jay told Julie he would
be returning to Minneapolis the next morning, and that he
wouldn't see her again until Monday morning in the office. Julie
didn't understand why, but she knew it must be important.

"Give me room 709, please. O.K., Ripley, it's Sunday
morning,and time you get everyone up for an early breakfast.
We'll hold a breakfast conference at ten o'clock in my suite.
Oh, I forgot to tell you I'm returning to Minneapolis this
morning; so this will be the last I see of you until you return."

As everyone started arriving for the breakfast Jay felt a
special warmth for Julie. He kissed her and caressed her as if
it were the most natural thing in the world. For him, it was.
