"That must have been the landlord on the phone," said Tom Haug.

"Oh yes, it was Mrs. Petterson. Of course she got my check
back from the bank."

"How was it returned?"

"Just marked insufficient funds."

"So they haven't closed your corporate account as of yet?"

"Hell no, they probably think the same thing I told her."

Tom's grin spread across his young, but full face. His long
straight hair fell across his forehead. "Well hell. Jay, you see
what a good job I did when I set her up."

"I told you she would be easy."

"Yeah, man, you know how to pick them."

"Now for our business, have you picked up any fresh candi-
dates this morning that we can put out there cold calling?"

"Well, the training class is filling now, and at eleven
sharp we'll go in and pitch them."

"Anything that looks like a winner?"

"Mostly college kids."

"Whoo -- beautiful, beautiful summer. Do we still have both
ads running for full time and part time employment?"

"Oh, hell, yes."

"Hey, Tom, get this -- here's a new ad I wrote last night.
I want it to start as soon as possible."

"Let's hear your copy."
